We are so proud of Sofia Puma, a fourth grade student at CBS who decided 1.5 years ago to grow her hair long to donate it to someone in need. As her hair grew longer she stayed committed to her goal. When she finally felt ready, she made the brave choice to cut her hair and donate it to a nonprofit foundation called "Hair We Share."
Sofia proudly delivered her "ponytail" to Hair We Share herself, hoping that whoever receives her hair in a lovely new wig will enjoy it as much as she did.
Alongside her hair donation, Sofia also raised over $1,000 to help cover the cost of transforming her ponytail into a wig. Her kindness and dedication to making a difference are truly inspiring and demonstrate the kindness and empathy we hope to instill in our students. Way to go Sofia!
