The CBS School's spring concert held on May 9th captivated the audience with a diverse selection of music pieces that showcased our students talents and skills in Orchestra, Band and Chorus. The night began with the Advanced Orchestra taking on challenging pieces that highlighted their musical expertise under the direction of Ms. Sinisi.
The Advanced Band enjoyed playing “Clarinet Jive” and “Chronicles” where both selections showcased the versatility of our performers.
Led by Mrs. Rorke, Junior Chorus, enjoyed singing well known songs like "Born to Make Music” and “Sing." The Senior Chorus sang “Music Alone Shall Live," as one of their song choices. This beautiful piece celebrated the enduring power of music. The chorus performed this song with heartfelt sincerity which conveyed the message of the song.
Throughout the night, Ms. Stewart, a music teacher at CBS and JFK took on the dual roles of accompanist on the piano and percussionist in the band, showing off her versatile musical talents .
It truly was a celebration of our students' hard work and dedication to music. It was incredible to see how far they've come and how they continue to grow as musicians. Thank you to our parents who encourage their children to practice and support them with rehearsals throughout the year.
The Spring Concert left a lasting impression on everyone who attended which reminds us of the importance of music education in nurturing creativity and talent among students.
